New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

The National Weather Service is accepting public comments until
July 29 2024 on a proposal to replace feet with meters when
describing seas in a variety of National Marine Center text
and graphical products for the Offshore and High Seas Areas

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A low pressure trough will
dissipate over the waters early today as weak high pressure 
builds E over the region this afternoon and tonight. The high
will weaken Sun as developing low pressure approaches from the 
S. The low will move N over the waters Sun night into Mon, and 
then weaken while moving inland late Mon and Mon night. A large 
area of high pressure will build well SE of the area centered
near 35N55W Sun into Mon, and continue through Wed night. A 
warm front will approach the area from the S Wed, and move N into
the waters Wed night.
